The melting point of paraffin wax

Paraffin is a mixture of hydrocarbons, so it does not have a strict melting point like a pure compound. The melting point of paraffin wax refers to the temperature at which the paraffin sample is cooled and melted under the specified conditions, and the stagnation period occurs for the first time on the cooling curve. All kinds of wax products require good temperature resistance to paraffin, that is, they do not melt or soften at a certain temperature. The main factor affecting the melting point of paraffin is the light weight of the selected raw material fraction, and the melting point of the paraffin wax which is removed from the heavier fraction is higher. In addition, the oil content also has a great influence on the melting point of the paraffin wax. The more oil in the paraffin wax, the lower the melting point.
