Paraffin wax oil content

The oil content refers to the amount of low melting point hydrocarbons contained in the paraffin. Excessive oil content can affect the color and storage stability of paraffin, and it also reduces its hardness. Therefore, the oil-containing wax paste which is removed from the vacuum distillation fraction needs to be degreased by a sweating method or a solvent method to reduce the oil content thereof. However, most paraffin articles need to contain a small amount of oil, which is advantageous for improving the gloss and release properties of the article.
