Paraffin oil, also known as mineral oil, is a colorless and odorless mixture obtained from fractional distillation of crude oil. It can be divided into light mineral oil and general mineral oil, while light mineral oil has low specific gravity and viscosity. Because mineral oil has low sensitization and good sealing properties, it has the effect of blocking the evaporation of water from the skin. Therefore, skin care products such as baby oil, lotion or cream are often used as smooth moisturizers. In addition, because of its good oil-soluble properties, it is also used as a make-up remover in cleansing oils or cleansing milk. It is reported that purification is not good, mineral oil with higher impurities has certain carcinogenicity.
